Disconnections

Disconnections are down, but speed is still CRUD!

I got spikes of 100KB/s last night, I was happy, but as soon as it hits 100KB/s it drops to 20KB/s and averages there then jumps up again then back down.

Same here and I am using an external antenna
 
Anybody else have less disconnections since the 7th?
 
yea, my disconnects have stopped happening as often. had on now, but i think its the first of the day. But speeds seem slower than usual.
 
Im still getting disconnects. Bedfordview. This is the month. If things dont get better for me Im gonna have to pack it in after almost 10 months. I just wish the service lived up to its moderate expectations even, then it would have been an absolute WINNER in the SA internet community. What a pity.
 
yep, disconnections seem to be down however speed is still an issue.
 
My connections was doing better in the last few days, but today, my disconnections is starting again. :(

I must say, I am so disgusted with the Neotel Network the past 2 weeks.
I am in Rooihuiskraal Centurion and this tower is so overloaded in cannot even compare to a dailup modem.
Download Speed: 80 kbps (10 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 108 kbps (13.5 KB/sec transfer rate)

It has been getting worse and worse over the past 2 weeks.
Just wish some idiot will say.. sorry sir... we cannot sell you a package anymore for the are until further notice...
I am not even getting close to the promised 700kbs for the past 4 months.

Neotel Prides themselves everywhere on the documents and website that Neotel Prime will have between 300-700kbs with the here and there burst rates...
I last had a connection speed above 400kbs about 3 months ago. Their service is getting worse and worse.

But I promise you that 90kbs download on a Prime connection is not standard coupled with disconnections, poor voice quality etc.

Every single broadband operator in this country went down the drain... When you are quick and get the service, it flies! After a few months, the service is dreadful.
 
Mine is still disconnecting and Im getting blazing speeds from the news servers of 25K/sec.

Seriously, my "love" affair with Neotel is all but over and I'm looking for a way out. I stay in bedfordview in a complex without telkom lines which makes things so difficult and 3G is no good for a high bandwidth user like me. Wimax...Im not sure if its available here and Im not even sure what speed I could get, I just want a 1mb uncapped service and Neotel was pretty darn fantastic in the beginning, but I can take it anymore. Please guys if you have any suggestions and helpful advice PLEASE PM me Id appreciate it greatly!!
