Disconnections

Ffs, last night and now has been constant up hill with Neotel. Connection doesn't drop but slows down to below dial up and then a min later pumps itself back up into 500+kbps for a few seconds then dies again.

Which idiot pushed the wrong button at Neotel seriously. I can't even browse it's so bad.

My device is not even disconnecting anymore, it's crashing!!!!!!!!!!! ARG!!!!! :mad:

This has gone from bad to really fracking worse!
 
And what do you know. No reply from neotel rep after his request for log numbers.

Going now precisely on 2 weeks that i've had a call logged and still no bloody technician... **** service.

And what do you know. As if by magic this morning my connection has dropped from tower 108 that i was connected the whole weekend at 54 RSSI and a connection drc of 2.4. Now im again connected to a different tower that im lucky to get 600KB/s.

sigh.
 
My Neotel device has started doing something else now, besides the disconnections, slow speeds, my device now disconnects me and when I try reconnect, I get told that the port is in use, the only way to fix this is to restart the PC.

As per usual, no comment from Neotel or Neotel rep regarding any of the issues we have mentioned.

As per your PM to me, saying you know about it and looking at it is really a horrible answer to give anyone;

I'd say "Hi Nick, look, we know about the issues, I'll check with the network guys and give you 'some' feedback by 12, then update you again with more feedback by 5pm" or something like that... (you can update the thread instead of sending PM's)

If you do that, at least we know you are a bit interested in helping.

Maybe you are, but the way you sometimes come across it's like you giving us a 'I'm not really that interested" answer.

Check Mr iBurst and how he helps people...

My connection has also been dropping quite often and it's annoying. Also been having authentication problems since yesterday :mad:
 
Yeah same here DarkDenim, keeps saying wrong username/password. It's getting annoying.
 
DarkD, Im not having any problems. Tower 304 went down, now im pointed at 320 with RSSI of 65. Getting 1100kb/s + peak 1400kb/s + offpeak.

Ok, so a few of us work, while the rest of us don't work.

At home I was getting (this morning) 10KB/s and I checked my traffic, the line disconnected something like 23 times last night.
 
My disconnections have been way worse over the past couple of hours! With my phone crashing for the first time in a long time, since probably April!

My speeds as of right now are pretty good, 80Kb/s.

I wish I could remotely log into my PC at home (haven't set it up yet) just to see how many times I've been disconnected and what my speed is doing. I'd ask my mom to look but that's just ASKING for trouble. :D
 
Also getting a lot of disconnects on my side. You can't leave the Neotel connection unmonitored because it will die on you. Very frustrating.

Neotel rep is there any indication as to what is causing this issue?

I'm connecting to tower 152. Haven't checked the RSSI but RDRC is 2.45Mbps and I'm peaking at 1.9Mbps :D Disconnections are the only issue :(
 
Mine is still terribly slow. I havent ever had too many problematic periods but during the past 2 weeks its been so bad here in Bedfordview. I really dont know what to do. Even Im thinking about packing it it, but what other uncapped alternative can I get as our complex doesnt have Telkom lines. :(
 
Same here disconnection have stopped finally after 2 weeks!!! I have had a stable connection only recently without getting disconnected in 2 days..

Note to self : To cancel my support ticket for a site visit....
Even my download speeds have improved...
I am assuming this had something to do with RADIUS upgrades..
