I just saw this as well, looks pretty good. I guess it will just be double what your normal discount is, i.e. max discount 20% * 2 = 40% discount.

But payments and transfers has always been in app?Whoop whoop! It is about time, but logged on to the Discovery Bank website this morning and we have online transaction functionality - payments and transfers. So, now just need the international banking option and our bank is growing up into a proper bank.
You could always pay any SA bank account. But payments and transfers has always been in app?
But payments limited to other users?
Has it now been extended to outside Discovery Bank accounts?
Edit: not in app so guess on website?
Created myself as beneficiary showing my normal bank account as beneficiary, yet it pays it back into my Discovery Acc.You could always pay any SA bank account.
First item under pay is add beneficiary and pay. You do have the option to do a once off payment in the next step.
What is your "normal" account?Created myself as beneficiary showing my normal bank account as beneficiary, yet it pays it back into my Discovery Acc.
I'll have to call Discovery to find out what obvious issue/step I'm missing.
Use the credit card. The debit card counts for nothing.Hi all. I just moved from a transactional account to a Bank Suite and I have a question. For me to gets the discounts, money back, etc., do I have to use the credit card or can I continue using the debit card because I'm on the Suite package now?
Main bank account at another bankWhat is your "normal" account?
So it goes out of Discovery and comes back in? What reference does the reversal have?Main bank account at another bank

It weirdly shows my old platinum card (FNB) yet I created myself as new beneficiary. So it goes out of Discovery and comes back in? What reference does the reversal have?
Not really something to get too excited about. This is why I left "how can we help you" for this newer bank.
Would it be worth upgrading from gold suite to platinum if your monthly income is lower than the required ? What will the drawback be ?
Thank you, I was just hesitant with regards to income verification. It wouldn’t be beneficial to move to platinum or black if I needed to submit proof of income, as I would lose diamond status, but if they don’t then it’s great. Savings is fine as well thank you.I'd definitely upgrade if I were you. Consider black as well, similar to platinum but a better iPhone benefit (just sell it if you're Android), better interest rates and a higher spend threshold for miles.
They don't (currently) do income verification so that shouldn't be an issue. Only drawbacks I can think of is that you need more savings (over R20,000 for gold, over R45,000 for platinum and over R100,000 for black) to achieve diamond vitality status. Your weekly money goal is also higher, and certain vitality money categories are calculated according to the income you declare.
