I see one of the account features of Discovery Bank is "You also get enhanced payment features including tap and go, Fitbit Pay, Garmin Pay and Samsung Pay"
Given that I need to get a new fitness watch now that TomTom support is ending, I was wondering if anyone has a FitBit/Garmin/Samsung wearable that they use regularly for contactless payments?
Given that a device with contactless payment will likely be a more expensive one - is it worth it?
I'm with Investec which supports Garmin and Samsung. I use the Garmin more than my phone tbh. I've never had a transaction fail on either of them though.
I'm not sure which Garmin devices support pay (I've got the 945) but the ones that I know of are the top-end watches (Marq, some of the Fenix 5 range) which are pretty expensive (like R10k and up). Honestly, not worth it just for the ability to pay but it depends on what sort of fitness watch you need. If you were looking at a top-end watch anyway, there's no harm in getting one that supports it.
