Discovery Vitality [2017]

Anyone activated flightbooster? It seems im stuck at 70% cash back even though I have reached goals after that. They count the initial 30% discount when booking, but thats not cash back!

I did mine earlier in the year and got all 13 goals and it showed 100% they just 4 days late on giving me the money, what status are you on? And make sure you have enough weekly goals before your flight once you have activated the booster

Well, I stand corrected :o, after a few days backwards and forwards, e-mails & live chats - I have now been notified that my device is still within warranty (not sure how that works). So Fitbit international are sending me a replacement band. Am still not convinced about reliability but I will certainly give them kudos for replacing the band a full 17 months after my original purchase date. Although I do understand that Fitbit international has a two year warranty so that might have helped my case.

My advise to anyone with Fitbit problems (out of warranty) is to take it up directly with Fitbit international, the local guys where very abrupt with me. Probably still getting a Garmin but will still use the Fitbit for squash as it has a much smaller profile.

I know this is an old quote but can confirm that I have done this and received a placement.

I have a basic reward expiring today, who wants it?

edit: gone

Did it actually work out to 100% cash back of the amount you paid via credit card?

I have enough weeks before my trip, but they're counting the upfront discount i received as a vitality member as 30%, thus I only got to earn 70% more back. Now im at 100% earned even though technically I only earned 70% back as the 30% relates to upfront discount and not cash back

So you're wanting 130% cashback? At the end of the day, you got a free flight

I think that his point is that it was not free.

Assume that the pre-discount flight price was R1000 (to make things easy)
Then he got the 30% upfront discount to R700.
He then got cash back of 70% of the R700 (which is R490).
So the flight still cost R210.

Unless I am missing something.

That's not how it works.

You get the upfront 30% off. The balance can be received back by achieving your active rewards goals. So the flight can be 100% free, depending on how many active rewards goals you achieve

Its not 100% free. At least not when you include the tax, which you don't get, neither upfront or later. Rest is 100% free yes.

It's 100% less airport taxes which was R397

Can anyone access your vitality points. On the website it says access denied and on the app it keeps asking for my password

Same here. Earlier this morning I couldn't login to the app or the website

Fortunately I decided last week not to bother with points anymore until January 2018 again. Need a break from this hamster wheel that is Vitality Active Rewards!
