Discovery Vitality [2017]

It may start slow now, but once it goes over 350, it will never ever drop lower than that again. I did ask. It also drops a lot slower than it goes up. So once you at 900, even if you stop for months, it will take more than a year to go below 500.

Which I guess is fair if you think about it, its about your fitness level and they then expect at least that much from you.
But while its low, its great.

Think I found a way to trick the system though into keeping my goal at 300. It's been at 300 for 2 months now even though I have made it every single week. If you go to gym on a Thursday/Friday the system doesn't know whether you met your goal or not when it allocates the new goal. So you get allocated the same goal as the previous week (300 in my case) on the Saturday.

Yup, mine was stuck at 600 for also for a couple of months despite hitting goal all the time. I can't recall exactly now, but I'm pretty sure me meeting goal was the majority of the time due to my Polar H7 workouts as opposed to Friday gym card swipes that registered late.

I'm on 700 now and this week found it pretty tough due to the fact that despite mostly doing cardio tonight I struggled to get my HR above 70% :/ Weird, seems to happen to me once in a while.

Think this might be an isolated bug or your device because I make 300 points on every workout and have been going non stop for about 6 months now.. Mine resets every Saturday morning back to 0...

Rape it while it lasts I say!!
Like my grandad always used to say: "hulle sal ons ry waar hulle kan, so ry hulle terug wanneer jy kan.."

No, my points also get reset to zero every Saturday so I need to do my 3 gym visits a week to hit my goal.

What I meant was that there is the 3 or 4 day delay before the Virgin Active gym swipe points get allocated. If I go to gym on a Friday the points only shows up on the following Sunday/Monday. Goals are allocated earlier on Saturday.

Stupid Tapatalk, I didn't mean to quote you..

I have a question on flight booster, I see it says you can boost two bookings a year, so can I boost 2 return flights? I have booster a return flight to jhb earlier in the year can I boost another one?

Correct. That is what I was told. if you apply it to only a destination or return it counts as 1, so better apply it to a return flight for more value.

Great thanks, the email I got from vitality says I can't, I think they think I did two one ways which would be two bookings.

You'd also have to book at least 6 weeks in advance to be able to apply flight booster to the booking. Cash back depends on active reward goals achieved

So I've missed 2 weekly goals in the last 6 weeks due to them a) not receiving one of my Polar workouts and b) the app said that the workout in question fell outside of set parameters.

They don't man that [email protected] mailbox any longer and now you have to lodge a dispute on a form that only accepts 500 characters and only lets you upload 1 file (.zip or .rar not allowed) so I had to copy paste a collage of the screenshots as proof that I missed my team reward as well as my individual reward! What a mission

Needless to say I've lost a 3 goal streak due to last week's goal not being met due to their syncing issues

Not sure if your first issue is this... I often get syncing issues at night. Often several days in a row. But you can manually sync from the app and almost immediately get the points. Manual sync is under devices.

Minimum 6 weeks, and you need to achieve your goals all 6. For every week additional to that, you earn another 5%. Therefore, if on Gold (as I am) you get 30% off on your cost of the flight, 6 weeks in advance booking and achieving your goal, another 30%. That's 60% off already. An additional 4 weeks and achieving them adds 5% x 4, so 20% more for a full 100%.

So book 10 weeks in advance when on gold, and achieving all the goals should effectively give you 100% free flight.
Will be doing this next year as a test.

I am currently on 85% discount. Flight is in 2 weeks so will get close to 100%.

Can one book now for next year or do I have to wait for the year to rollover?

Hi guys

I have recently signed up for Discovery Vitality and in need of some advise.
I was wondering does the health checks fall away at the beginning of every new year? If so I should rather wait till Jan ?

Thanks

Your will start with 0 points in January, but if you can get to gold before then, it's worth doing the health checks

Has anyone's goal streak indicator been reduced? I had one of the three circles filled yesterday, today it's gone? Yet In the activity it shows I achieved last week's goal.

Where is the wheel that you are supposed to spin after getting the 3 goals?
