Discovery Vitality [2017]

Did anybody spin the wheel today and get something other than core reward? Was supposed to spin today until I missed my goal by 2 steps last week

Got a R100 Pick'n pay voucher last week. Only one 1/3 this week.

Change the date back to that date on your phone, do the 2 steps, and resubmit the steps via whatever you use

Really?? Does that work with the health app? I tried manually adding the steps but that definitely didn't work

Try it. Manually adding steps won't work - the system will recognize it as edited

It worked! Thank you so much! My surprise reward hasn't come through though but my weekly reward has. Will wait a bit otherwise will send Discovery a message on Facebook.

Am currently unable to redeem a surprise reward. Keep getting a digital card download error. Logged a query and was told to uninstall the Discovery app and re-install with the latest version. This did not solve the problem so I've logged another query.

I had the same problem, I was told to delete cache data from the app and then reinstall which worked for me

Has anyone ever tried to get their Vitality Rewards 'paused' due to a medical condition?

I had a medical procedure and asked them to pause it for a couple of weeks, but they didn't want to grant the request and the response was pretty condescending 'oh we are sorry you are feeling unwell' and added the review was 'created for member’s who have Apple watch'.

I've been booked off work for a couple of weeks by my dr (even sent Vitality the doctor's note) so no, it's not a case of I'm feeling for a couple of days.

Also, I will lose out on my Shoe Booster because I cannot exercise for the next few weeks, but it's okay I don't have an Apple watch so they don't give a crap.

Hope you recover soon. I don't think we can expect more from them. My uncle is wheelchair bound and they expect him to get vitality rewards. My aunt has to jump through hoops to try to get to the 90000 points to reach gold level of which my uncle literally can't contribute even 100 points let alone try to get his max of 30k points.

We should never forget that they really actually don't give a **** about us, we just a number who contribute to their profits and bottom line which is what is sancrosanct to them so that they can have fancy **** expensive working offices.

While I like the weekly vitality target as a sort of personal motivation , it's just that. I will never fall for their free apple watch, booster, etc inducements which would lock me into their ecosystem even more.

Yeah I guess it was a lost cause.

The worst part is they end the email with "You can still earn your weekly Vitality Active Rewards if you achieve your goals." How exactly do you want me to achieve it when I can't even walk 5,000 steps per day at the moment because my doctor has advised me to take it slow over the next few weeks?

Hi guys,

Is there a way I can check the cash back I have earned by each partner store?

I can only see my cash back from pick n pay

To be completely honest, my goal for the past year is at the max (900 points) and it never comes down. The way I reach it is by training with a heart rate monitor. 2x cardio sessions per week (2x 300 points) and 3 gym visits (3x 100 points) with 2 days rest. This has always been my preferred training schedule and not motivated by the rewards - they are just a bonus. Without a heart rate device you would need to do the weekly parkrun (300 points) and then 6 gym visits - so you have no rest days.

As I said earlier, if you are fairly active the max goals are easy to reach, otherwise if you are training 3 times a week or less it might not be worth all the extra effort.

Thanks for this strategy. I'm new to Vitality, and would like to know what other strategies people here do to reach their Vitality goals/benefits? Need to figure out the best approach for my lifestyle which is mediocre ;)

Wow ok, so now the card is pointless unless you join the Discovery Miles programme.

I mainly want to see my cashback from the HealthyGear/Care/Food cards
Over what period? Did you try the website?
