Discovery Vitality [2017]

Shoe booster

I activated the shoe booster and bought my shoes at Sportsman's Warehouse today. Swiped my HealthyGear card. So, do I just trust that Discovery is now aware that I've bought the shoes? There doesn't seem to be any requirement for me to prove my purchase.

I hope you were wearing your HRM at the time with your heart rate above 80% when you swiped your HealthyGear card? ;)

ROFL. THis made my morning...

So I've been sick with a lingering cough and chest thing which has taken a couple weeks to get through. And it's not even winter yet! Impact - haven't been able to run for 3 weeks. Therefore not hitting my 900. Best I have done is 6-700.
This is what discovery banks on...

Just need some clarification. Can we do the health check more than once in a year. I am hearing different stories from various people but can't find it on the website

Medical certificate forwarded to Discovery should get your target adjusted. Bit of PT though.

In active rewards on your discovery app, there should be a shoe booster section at the bottom. If you go into that, you'll see indication that you've activated it

I know I've activated it - my question is, now that I've actually bought the shoes, how does Discovery know? Is the fact that I swiped my Healthy Gear card when making the purchase enough? Do they automatically now know which shoes I bought and for how much? Because there were other VIT purchases on the same till slip that weren't shoes.

Short answer, yes. You'll get your initial 25% back next month

Yeah its not really worth it doing the tests a 2nd time. Only if you know you will for a fact pass something more.

So getting level 5 on fitness tests was a joke. But the level6-7 sounds interesting, though I am far too lazy to go and get the qualification for it.

They made the qualifications more difficult too. Under 20 mins on a 5km run, under 1:30 for half marathon

20 mins.. damn. :(

I did a test run at the gym the other day and I recon with a bit of practise I could have gotten there (I'm not a runner), but 20 mins... haibo.

Pity.. would have liked to try for 6 and 7.

If you qualify as a High performance athlete then you Vitality fitness rewards points are more challenging.

Hi

I did a run last night for 39min with my polar HR but checking this morning I did not get points for it, it says "Insufficient activity to earn points" but I can see that I was above or at 80% of my max HR for entire run ?

Anybody had problem with workouts through polar yesterday ?

My polar worked instantly this morning (tuesday) and the wife's was 100% on sunday.

So I know its not the same day as yours, but it would then be limited to monday if there was in fact an issue.

Hi Guys,

I'm looking for active members who consistently meet their goals to join my team.

PM me and I'll invite you.

My 70% workout from last night has come across.

EDIT: And tonight's one was there within a few minutes.
