Discovery Vitality [2018]

Didnt realise they charge R45 for being on vitality active. Has this charge always been there and is it an additional monthly fee?

Shocked. I never saw that. Note to self pay attention to detail.

So you have to pay that to get the discount for gym or is this another 25% off?

Edit: Think its an additional 25% which Vitality Active Rewards provides. The additional fee doesn't make sense to me. Wonder if its a fee you pay only if you are not on the full vitality membership?

And then some added benefit if you have Discovery life insurance as well? Does anyone have Discovery life insurance?

Good thinking... May explain the Vitality Open?

Interesting.

So it seems that Vitality Active is basically "Vitality Lite" and these 10 weeks of Vitality Open was just a beta test+Marketing.
It is nothing but that. As we have bitched about the gradual erosion of ebucks over the years, I think we will be there will vitality in two years. Unless they use your actual health data to tailor a premium specific to you e.g. if you are healthy and take care of yourself with all the levers and knobs they apply to one to make them comply, then your monthly premium should be discounted.

So is the Vitality Active fee an additional fee to the normal vitality fee? Still unclear for me.

Not the way i see it, it is a separate option (like a medical aid plan) with Vitality Active you don't get any other benefits except coffee etc for reaching goals.

Anyone having issues with their gym. Points not reflecting on their active rewards?
