Discovery Vitality [2018]

Hey guys i have been trying to use https://www.discovery.co.za/vitality/calculator#, but just not seem to work for me.

In short I will be joining soon just before discovery bank launches. Work will pay for med aid and pay R300 a month towards gym.
I want just use money and join virgin active red without vitality discounts and save the joining fees, as the work will be paying anyway.
Will I loose too many points not joining the gym through vitality? I can do some park runs and maybe some other running events also to make up if I must.

Also should join just me and or it is easier if add my wife also?

I have samsung gear for fitness and wife has apple watch.
As far as I know you don't get points for joining the gym through vitality so you can join outside of vitality.
You just need to log your workouts via your watch or the kiosk to get vitality points towards your weekly goals as well as your total vitality points.

As for the question regarding your wife, I'm not 100% sure. You get bigger reward limits at Woolworths, etc with additional people on your vitality but everyone has to workout and take part to get to gold/diamond status as those requirements increase with more people as well.

Yeah the limits get high and impossible badically if everyone doesn't participate. I'm not sure at VA red but generally the swipe picks up as 100 points even if you don't reach your heart rate or step goal at gym. If they have manual machines to log your workout well and good but otherwise you would lose out points if your workout doesn't meet the heart rate or step goal

My rewards are starting to expire. Anyone know if you can stack multiple yuppiechef vouchers for a single order?

Thanx

Will join VA red then and then log the gym workout manually, or see if my watch can do it for me.

Your watch should register the exercise. Just make sure you do at least 30 minutes of exercising or it won't count. I once stopped my watch 4 seconds short of the full 30 minutes and that exercise was completely ignored.

I was having a look on the DH website and for some reason my WW HealthyFood benefit has been reduced to 10% (or removed completely) as I see the following below (despite WW being my primary 25% partner of choice for the last few years)!

And then when I look back at the last few months it seems this change occurred 3 months ago!

Anyone else noticing something gone awry with their HealthyFood cash back benefit?

When did you last do your vitality age and vitality health check assessments? Those %'s will decrease after a year. Also if any dependants on your profile haven't done them in the last year

I did mine both in January this year Then I noticed that in November is year It showed that I didn't do it and hence why my cash back percentage dropped. So it seemed to have reset before my year was up

Do you know where you can see you healthy food card number online?

I'm so fed up with these scumbags, they use loop holes to not pay out for dental and eye check ups and then they shaft us on the Vitality cash backs as well and then make you waste even more time hounding them to fix things.

Yes it pisses me off. I also made a huge dischem purchase in November expecting the 25% cash back yet its showing it dropped to 10% tho I did all my checks in jan this year so it should stay 25% till Jan 2019.

Points collected last year = status for this year.

What you've done this year shouldn't have any impact on your rewards this year.. at least, thats how I understand it.
