Guys can someone help me out here. Vitality chat bot is offline so can’t get help there.

How do you use/monetize discovery miles if you don’t have a discovery bank account? Last year I could still buy vouchers etc from within the discovery app, but now it keeps prompting me to open the discovery bank app when I click any option to use my discovery miles. I don’t want to open a discovery bank account.

As mentioned above, you have to open a free discovery bank account. I've had it for a couple of years now and only use that account to buy vouchers, spend Miles.
 
well, that’s the end of discovery miles being useful to me then… I am not opening a discovery bank account, even the free one, just to use my miles. I could always use them without a bank account in the past. Will start looking for another medical aid soon then.

worked fine for me when the Woolworths food cash back was paid directly to my bank account. Then they changed it to miles, and now I can’t even use the mile unless I have their bank account. Thanks but no thanks
 
Literally just after I made my previous post, the option to buy vouchers in the vitality mall without a bank account became active again…

When did Amazon become a partner? Seems that’s where all my miles are going moving forward

Didn't they change it to the 1st of every month, though? I'm either correct or wrong here.

EDIT: nope, think I'm wrong. "Rewards earned in the current month for qualifying HealthyLiving purchases made will paid within the 1st fifteen days of the following month."

If Ebucks timelines is anything to go buy, that means no sooner than the 16th day of the month, but maybe anytime after that as well.

Ps: I haven’t got mine either yet. Interested to see how this pans out with checkers now the secondary partner. I never did buy much from Pick ‘n Pay previously
 
Is anyone here on the Discovery Vitality Virgin Active pre-2010 once-off fee / free membership option and also paying extra for Premier access, and if so what do they (Virgin Active) charge for this these days?

edit: After calling into the contact centre, It's a R70 admin fee if transferring to a different club, R420 pm if changing to Premier. Then a R270 downgrade fee if one reverts back to non-Premier membership at a later stage.

Doesn't seem the app is syncing with Samsung Health other than. The steps to upload my workouts. I need to have it captured manually. They are aware of the problem, but no idea when it will be working again.

I frequently have to clear the discovery app cache to get it to upload my work out data from Samsung health.

This problem has become worse for ever the last few months to the point that I wonder if changing the watch would improve the experience.

I also used to have a samsung watch. Then when ebucks had the specials on the garmin watches, I bit the bullet. Best choice honestly. The garmin experience is much improved with discovery, just does it in the background. As long as your watch sync to the app on your phone, it goes to the internet, then to discovery servers from there. So no app to app sync needed.


Also...the garmin watches quality for fitness is on another level.
 
Hi guys,
With eBucks becomming even more useless and Checkers divorcing FNB, I'm considering the switch to Discovery.
Is there a thread here/somewhere that I can see all the costs, what's required to make it worthwhile etc?
