Dissapointed in Afrihost

There've been too many of these threads lately, makes me think it might be better to stay away.

i think give them a chance, every time an issue is picked up they do fix it ... so they will improve over time which they are making the effort to do so ... xrapidx: ok your case is a bit worrying ... just cancel your debit order with your bank ...

Maybe, if I do ever sign up with them it'll be EFT only though, no credit card details or debit orders.

Its off my credit card - I've emailed accounts AGAIN - copying Gian and Moshe AGAIN - if I have to, I'll claim through Visa and submit the supporting documentation.

Its just a bit annoying that even after email confirmation that the account is cancelled - I still get invoiced for it.

Has anyone seen a reply from Afrihost re all these issues? To me they seem very quite...

OMG I SWEAR I HAVE NEVER DELT WITH MORE USELESS SUPPORT IN MY LIFE!!!

I DO NOT CARE HOW MUCH U PEOPLE WINE ABOUT CHEAP DATA FROM THEM, IT DOES NOT CHANGE THE FACT THAT THEY ARE USELESS INTERNET SERVICE PROVIDERS.

DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR CREDIT CARD DETAILS. YOU WILL SIGN AWAY ALL CONTROL OVER THE CHARGES FROM THEM. THEN WHEN U WANT TO LEAVE THEY MAKE IT EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO CANCEL THE ACCOUNT.

I feel for your keyboard...

(I think their support is great. I too had a billing issue this month, but they've been quick to respond, and I'm happy with their service).

Seems that they bit off more than they could chew in terms of customer service - grow your client base by x% without the additional profit is dangerous IMO...
Maybe it will settle down in future.
