I doubt anyone at mweb would have said you will score a couple bucks.

Client: hey china whats happening with mweb uncapped
mweb: well my bru this product is like sooooo hot that if you sign you will save a couple bucks.

Confusing the public? Nope mweb say 899 they mean you pay them 899, telkom say 413 and you pay 413. Besides i thought you were a company why are you using a home product? There are accounts called business accounts for a reason, perhaps find out about their business accounts and make sure it is not seacom. The cheap seacom option is good value for money and i cannot understand why you are moaning because mweb is saving you a chunk of money by allowing you to run the business you claim to have on a home product.

Bunch of moneys are straight up stupid homey. Perhaps 50 rand is not a lot of money but considering you try to save money by using a home product for business i fail to understand how a saving of any sort does not ring your bell. Some people think 50 rand is a good saving, 600 rand a year. Perhaps if you looked into cost saving you may be able to afford that back up bandwidth by saving on other expenses.

R600 could buy a fairly decent amount of bandwidth actually, but you score nothing according to you. I would not move my line over to mweb having said that.
Didn't MWEB advertise this product as suitable for a small business, or have they rescinded that as well?

I asked the sales rep then signing up if I would score, and he said "well, hmm hmm hmmm yes..."
because it look like I would score, because it was vat excluded, and I was under the impression it was vat included, thats the reason why I migrated my line, because of the vat ex, incl trick.....

The Connect account is suitable for a home and small office usage. Small office means email, browsing, etc. Clearly this doesn't mean hosting your own ISP or heavy-usage web-server or download site. They've spelled that out again on these forums.

The other benefit of the bundles package is that you can report line faulty directly to MWeb and not have to deal with Telkom yourself. The amount you save is small, yes, because the ADSL prices from MWeb (and most other ISPs I guess) are already low. You're getting uncapped ADSL, so don't complain about NOT get a savings of a few rand on your bundled package :)

sounds hectic, sounds like a massive process to get from my ADSL modem to the actual internet itself

Yeah. Think of the number of physical links and all the hardware between your hard-drive and the hard-drive of the machine serving your request, sitting on the 10th floor of a building in Seattle or in the basement of a server farm in Outer Mongolia :)

The ads before said HOME & OFFICE and "ideal for running a small office" did they not?

No idea. It says "ideal for [...] running a small office" now.

It also says that it's shaped. If you select this option for your business and expect unshaped, business-class service, you'll probably be disappointed. I'm not sure how they can make it any clearer.
