I wonder what MWEB's satisfied:dissatisfied ratio is..

I mean, there are as many good posts here as there are bad, but the question is: how vocal are people that are receiving good service?

I'd guess that there's roughly a 95% satisfaction level, *based on totally random guessing which I suppose isn't 100%, but it's close enough for me to recommend them to friends and family without having to worry.

ja ... but with mweb, your modem will be be connected but you will have no internet for 30min, for example, stupid stuff like this.... and then on uncapped 4meg, like I was, your speed most of the times 1~2 mbps uncapped, with a sow upload rate, and the migration process of mweb takes a couple of months, if you want to have the all exclusive products, and then that means, you have to pay then for DSL service and for telkom, and I phoned the ISP's afrihost webafrica about ADSL products........... those direction and they told me, hmmm ja.... there's alot of old mweb clients jumping over to them, and they have complained about the bad service of mweb and check this thing out, I run a couple of hotspot, and my hotspot thats on mweb is 10% of the time offline...... hmmmmmm??

I've been with Mweb since they started their uncapped offering. Been very happy so far. Before that I was with Afrihost and Digichillie. Mweb wins hands down. Afrihost failed badly. Digichillie, well what can I say, they tried. (managed to do more on the Digichillie 384 than on Afrihost 4m though...)

Fail thread is fail.

And if it weren't then it would still be fail since flooded tech support is a rubbish idea.

+1, because bombing the tech@ email address is better than interacting directly with the reps here or using other official channels how? :)

Its more about telling everyone how k@k mweb is.....

In your opinion.

What specific problems are you experiencing and what action, apart from emailing tech@, have you undertaken to rectify these problems?

so the person is now unhappy and turned into a stalker. seriously if you don't like the program and in your eyes couldn't get the help that you desired then get into another one and make peace with the fact that you had *** service and some of us is getting our worthwhile service. no-one is forcing you to stay with provider X or to blow the trumpets on provider X all the time till kingdom come.

i lol'ed at this thread and the one X-<insert>-customer thread, cause seriously imho it stinks of immaturity and those who can't let go in a mature way of something having to constantly beat a dead horse. sure you can have an opinion about something, but that doesn't mean you have to go all evangelical about it and make it your dogma to preach it to us at every given chance. this is like those who go out with person x singing their praises, but god when they make out with them you have to listen to constant bitching and moaning how bad that person is now all of a sudden.

i'm just thankful i don't have to deal with clients like you and rest of the brat-pack. at least after the holidays it's back to school/varsity/work for most of them and a lot less free time to sit and wine about anything and everything possible.

You mean the ex-Mweb thread I started? Well I feel it is a valuable thread. As an unhappy Mweb uncapped subscriber I am looking for a new uncapped ISP and so are others. I didn't bitch and moan AND stay with Mweb, I voted with my wallet. You don't see me moaning about Mweb in that thread, only feedback on my new ISP. You will also notice many requests for feedback come month end.

seriously was it really necessary to name it they way you did ? couldn't you just have gone the normal way without being dramatic about it ? nothing stopped you from just naming it "uncapped alternative isps" which should have been better and less adolescent and dead horse beating imho.

No, the thread is for ex-Mweb uncapped subscribers. Very descriptive and spot on subject. Who's being dramatic?

Like an idiot for not having a back up, guess some people blame others for their short comings :D. A company should never be stuck on one isp and have no back up. The people who work there should have enough brain cells to buy bandwidth from elsewhere when things go wrong at company x.

It must suck running a business at 80%, how is it surviving having someone so ummm errrm intelligent running it?

I'm very interested to know how you arrive at an uptime of 80%. What is "80% randomly" though?

Despite your clumsy attempt at sarcastic humour, I would have thought MORE reps would be better surely?

I've seen this thread and I want to share my opinion

I've just started my business this year and I'm sorry I can't afford 5 fail-over ADSL connection's for it, and that includes for my hotspots I'm running at remote locations... I have 3G available for the worst case scenario

I'm very interested to know how you arrive at an uptime of 80%. What is "80% randomly" though?

Its roughly, DNS downtimes from mweb, and so on, thx god for google DNS servers... 8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4
and some other times my internet acts like a dailup. probably overloaded network or something....and some slow browsing speeds

Damn, typed a response and stupid backspace key went back in history :( This thread is not worth a second typing effort.

If you have fustrations, deal with the relevent departments, if you still have fustrations, rant here by all means but clearly and concisely please. The current rant from D-boy and co feels quite childish.

If your still not satisfied, do as others have done and change.

I'm perfectly happy with my Mweb performance and cost.
