The first "move" is not neccesarily going for the party of choice, but to disband the ANC...Its like "going for the mother-ship"...Once the mother-ship is destroyed, THEN you take on the little guys...

My whole idea is this...Seeing the ANC has so much power/votes, we need something to dismantle them...The only way to do this ( or at least ONE of the ways ) is to get a couple of parties to stand together...ie DA, IFP, etc... This will then give a good opposition...Once THIS is achieved, let the remaining parties ( whom have joined together ) sort their differences out between themselves and carry on from there.

I'm sure you will see they all have different views on how to get things done. Which is why coalitions will in my opinion never work on a large scale.

Agreed. How a party like that can even exist is beyond me.
Maybe we need to start our own? Jewish People's Party?

You could be correct there...But as i said...Once the MAIN party ( ANC ) is destroyed, then the other parties ( even if they just stand together temporory ), can sort it out between themselves...

I do not think they would be able to "sort it out". Lets take the bigger parties like say DA, IFP, FF+, ID. And a crucial policy like BEE/AA.

As far as I know, IFP is in favour of it, just that Koosie says it must be implemented "fairely", the DA is sort of confusing one on AA, IMO they are saying "Jah, we know it is necessary, but not in its current form, they want it class based (the last I heard), which when you think of it, it is the same thing. Then you have FF+, who I believe say it should be scrapped all together.

Sounds they would need another CODESA to figure out amongst themselves what they want.

yep...whats wrong and whats right can always be debated or whatever after the elections.Main thing is...ANC must not rule...or at least, thats the goal.

I voted for DA cus Tony Leon is Jewish.I think there may be a small jewish party here.there are around 100k jews in SA,now if half of them voted u and me would be in parliment!
