Hi, I would like to give the following scenario that I have and find out if it is possible to do.

I have a Galaxy S4 phone for my work cellphone and then I have a personal phone which is a Huawei P9.
I have set up call diverting on my Galaxy to divert calls to my Huawei, but the problem is, I don't know when a call coming to my Huawei is from my Galaxy (work phone) or not.
I would like to know when a call is coming in on my Huawei as a forwarded call or not, so that I know it's a work call and can answer appropriately and not spend too much time talking if it's not needed.

If it helps, the number that is calling my Galaxy shows up on my Huawei and not my Galaxy's number. If it was my Galaxy's number that showed up on my Huawei, I would at least know that it is a forwarded call coming in.

I'm hoping that there is a setting (USSD) code that I can call to enable it, or something similar.
I have also tried using the Forwarded Call Notification app (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=joe.forward&hl=en) with no luck.

I don't know if it's an EMUI or Android problem.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Morné

Nope, it's done at a network level so you aren't going to have any luck there. The phone becomes irrelevant.

You can take the SIM out and cut it up and it will still divert.

The only work around I can think of would be to do something like forwarding to a Skype or other VOIP type of solution and then having that call you with a new originating number, but this will ultimately cost you money for the second call.

OR

Start using Skype (or other VOIP app) on your phone and forward all the calls there and then you know where it's coming from based on the App being used.

Awesome, thanks for the information SauRonZA! :) Much appreciated. I think I'll just need to get a Skype number and forward to it, unless I just get a dual-SIM phone some day. It's a pitty that the cellphone companies don't sell the P9 dual-SIM on a contract :/

Careful with call forwarding, can be quite pricey to do what you are doing, unless these aren't two different cell numbers?
