Diwali Fireworks

So, not only do you exonerate those actually committing the offence, you offload your pets to boot, separating them from the one familiar thing - you - during an otherwise potentially harrowing time?

Full marks on that one!

Didn't someone go on holiday during New Years and their pet mauled its face through a gate? Maybe the SPCA was a better option?

Cause you're too lazy to take an initiative in your pet don't go around making it another person's issue

Because you're too stupid to go fire your fireworks somewhere where it doesn't traumatize other people's animals, you expect everyone to go to bend over backwards to accommodate you while you refuse to extend the same courtesy.

That's rich. You can simply train a pet to be okay with loud noises. Yah right, troll.

Either way, what a waste of time arguing with thick-headed neanderthals. Next year they're just going to fire up their rockets all over again without any consideration for anyone else who have to share the living space with them, then they're going to come right back here and justify their inconsiderate behavior with lame justifications, cheap attacks, failed logic and shifting of responsibilities. Nothing will change until there's a blanket ban on fireworks in residential areas, and that day can't come soon enough.

Maybe make that ban happen?

People have been given guidelines for their fireworks use and they follow it...

And then people like you are going to cry because 'wah, waaaah, my religious freedoms!' All the while whining about intolerance because you're prohibited from shooting off fireworks that traumatizes everyone's pets.

If you read the thread, I don't use fireworks nor am I a Hindu.

Also, it's ironic that you whine because apparently we're making our pets your problem while you're in effect making your religious celebration everyone else's problem.

Courtesy is a two way street. Fire your fireworks in moderation and don't fire the absolute biggest, loudest and most obnoxious fireworks you can find. The end.

Someone left their pet unattended and went on holiday during New Years, the fireworks shocked the poor animal and it mauled its face through the gate.

You see, there that entitlement attitude creeps out again. Everyone else has to plan their lives around your fireworks, instead of you just finding a place to fire your fireworks where it doesn't bother anyone or cause them harm.

Entitled little troll. I think that liquid cocaine has addled your brains a bit.

Again its not about the religious celebration that takes place once a year, fireworks are used numerous times throughout the year

You're informed of the days of when fireworks will be used and from what times. Deal with it.

And you have city bylaws that apply (regardless of the day of the year), deal with it when your neighbours get upset and call the cops.

1. Novel, but incorrect usage of 'maul'.
2. By which logic are the pet owners solely responsible, and morons who set off mortars absolved?

Yip bylaws that allow fireworks, if the fireworks were illegal by all means report it.

Nope, as its said its a two way street but don't lay the blame solely on a user of fireworks.
