DIY Kit for chipped tooth

The exact same thing happened to me 2 weeks ago.

This stupid f***ing medical aid (Hospital Plan) told me that they won't cover it even if I do an implant (hospital plan doesn't cover surgery...)

The best thing that OP can do is either crown it (costs 8k), a false tooth or a bridge (very costly as well).

I had both my front top teeth badly chipped, and they were fixed with a white composite filler that bonds to your teeth like cement and is shaped by the dentist to look natural. 16 years later now they are still fine and look and feel like my normal teeth. That was not very expensive. Much cheaper than veneers or a crown.

I don't believe that, unless you have been living off of over ripe bananas and yogurt for the last 16yrs?

Hi guys, does anyone know where I can find a DIY fixing kit for a chipped tooth on super short notice in JHB?

I sadly chipped one of my front teeth yesterday and I have a weekend away with the company this weekend - needless to say, I'm rather desperate!

The product you are looking for is called DenTek temporary tooth repair. I always carried a pack with when I went hiking. I bought mine at outdoor warehouse a couple of years ago. Touch wood have not needed it. Right now I can only find a reference to it on bidorbuy.

Also had a front tooth done like that, its been going strong for 25 years and still looks perfect.
