Hello chaps,

I didn't want to hijack the other thread :). Simple query, I've noticed that the modem does get rather warm. Is this normal, would leaving it on for extended periods eventually damage it?

The modem is only on when in use i.e. at night and over weekends.

Edit - there's no obstruction around the vents of the modem.
 
I have the same unit and it's been running 24/7 for about 16 months now without issues. It does get a bit warm but nothing to worry about.

My DSL-2500U also runs slightly warm, but I think the wireless units will run hotter though.
