Hello

After some lightning last night my router has stopped working.
The Telkom technician told me the router doesn't sync any longer (the circular light with an arrow doesn't stop flashing).

I have the DLink DSL-2750U ADSL WiFi router.

Telkom won't replace it for free even though I'm on a Do Basic Uncapped contract. So I need to buy a new one.

Firstly can I do anything to fix the router myself?
If I have to get a new one, takealot has the DLink DSL-2740U for R499 which is the cheapest I can find. Is the DSL-2740U good enough?

TX!

Using one at the office to provide internet access to people attending meetings. :)

At home I'm using a TP-Link W8970.

I can get my hands on the W8960N right now from a store nearby.
Is that a good one?

Yes, you can't go wrong with TP-Link. They're awesome. :)

I tried updating the firmware. It didn't work.
So then I bought the TP-Link W8960N, it's certainly better designed than the D-Link.

Hope it gives you years of good service. :)
