DNS troubles with Kawuleza Connect

Hi guys, I launch SA's first Dark Store website tomorrow, Sunday but have this annoying DNS issue which effectively blocks me from accessing the site, backend and front. I have run tracert and don't even get to the first hop. In the past, the tracert has failed when it gets to Kawuleza's connection. I run my own hosting on a reseller account from Afrihost but there is no issue there, I have spent many hours on the phone to them and am pretty sure it is not hosting-side. Has anyone had this issue with intermittent access where it appears DNS does not resolve. I have a test site that is exactly the same, same hosting package, same prestashop installation, with wordpress installed alongside and that works fine. The settings are exactly the same. What am I doing wrong? I have a 2 hour delivery turnaround and cannot adhere to that if the site is closed to me but open to my customers.

Were the domains nameservers changed recently, or was the domain only recently acquired? And by recent I mean within the last day or two...

Worst case, try changing your DNS servers to Google public DNS servers. Either on the router or on your active network card. If you do it on your network card you should run ipconfig /flushdns in command prompt and try again (after closing your browser). If you can change it on your router, apply the settings then reset. Once it is back up run the flushdns command on your PC.

Hope this at least gets you back to work.

Hi there, nameservers haven't been changed since registration about 2 months ago. I tried the google DNS, worked a treat, many thanks!

Does using Google DNS create any sort of security risk to my backend?

Not as far as I know. None that I have heard of so far - haven't really looked though.

I prefer using Google DNS on my routers as they seem to update a lot quicker than, for example, a local ISP's DNS servers do.

Well that was a little premature. Same issue today from about midday, still can't get in even after selecting Google DNS on our work network. Pulling out hair this side, site launched officially yesterday 2pm but yeah, can't get in. It's the only site, every other site of mine is ok. I just don't get it.
