because the right lane all of sudden becomes a only turn right lane

Indeed. I see Michael de Broglio thinks you didn't leave enough following distance between yourself and the car in front, how did that end up?

no claim against me, the insurance company has agreed to pay me what I wanted upfront, so no further action, case closed.

yes he is insured, I'm guessing with the same company

if I was insured, I would have walked away with 15k settlement figure and they would have taken my car.

I've gotten significantly more than that and I've kept my car, one case where insurance would not have paid off.

By the way, the insurance company agreed with my market value.

And what do they reckon the market value is? I assume they took the historical significance into account?

I placed the replacement value at R200k, and the market value at R95k based on the fact that I posted a "feeler" which a troll copied from the Opel forum and placed here.

Given the report I wrote, I guess they did take the historical significance into account, as it was emphasised by me. If we had gone to court, I would have been entitled to have claimed the full 200k.

Neat. So you specified the replacement value and market value in your insurance contract, correct?

Hrm...so from that video...
Speeding, some iratic lane changes, and then slamming on brakes when you eventually notice the car in front of you was slowing down. And then having a look at the rest of your videos.

You are a classic tit driver. Suprised you haven't written the car off sooner.

Well done.

Oh my bad, reading it all wrong. So you're uninsured, the guy drove into you and his insurance paid you R95,000?

That is in essence what has happened yes. They acknowledged their market value was wrong and accepted mine as correct knowing full well a court would attach more value to my opinion backed up with credible evidence versus what is stated in their "book".

They knew they would lose in court and that they would have to pay out atleast 200k with legal fees etc.

I would probably receive R150k and they would be embarrassed, so they made a settlement offer I was happy with.
