By non US government department standards the list of 38 papers AATIP researchers had written would be considered pseudoscience.

Don't know if this has been mentioned. But I think time is a big factor.
Maybe intelligent life is very rare, only comes around every couple million years, but the intellegent life evolves into what we are and inevitably destroy their planet before advancing to interstellar travel.
Maybe a couple billion years ago the universe was full of life and something lead to a "universe"war and "nuked" everything.
Maybe we are the first time intelligent life has arose, I mean, someone had to be the first.
Maybe we're the last.

But I definitely belive aliens do exist.
I think anyone who doesn't is just unaware of the facts.

Panspermia is one of the hypotheses, yes.
But not the leading one, I wouldn't say "suspected"
 
Following the recent US UAP Disclosure Bill is the establishment of this organisation which comprises of scientists, legal and government experts tasked with US UAP disclosure.


US Federal government have been reluctant to publically disclose about UAP retrievals themselves as their dealings have been illegal for various reasons, including tenderneurship.

US Federal government contract out for the retrieval of non human crafts so they wouldn't have to disclose anything about the retrievals to the public.

With exception of retrievals, they have/are already disclosing a lot of other information related to UFO's. By 2030 the topic should fall under the normal instead of paranormal.

These NSA search terms is a good indication of what has been disclosed and still to be disclosed.

Speaking only for myself, no, no and no.

Also, just because I think (nb. i do not know for sure - no-one on planet earth does) we are not alone in the universe it does not mean I believe there are little green beings in flying saucers visiting and anal-probing Texans....

To me "alien life" would not necessarily be sentient but could be single / multi-celled organisms / organic / bacteria / etc, based on the abundance of fundamental elements in the observable universe such as sulfur, phosphorous, oxygen, nitrogen, carbon, and hydrogen that are the building blocks for life as we know it.

Unfortunately everyone wants exciting aliens and not boring simple life so any discussions always lead straight to those.

another question that tips what you say on its head, what if we have seen life, just our understanding of what life actually is is flawed,
what if its a rock that only moves once every 20 years, or uses different chemistry than what we consider life to be.

again, coming back to the original question, if life were to bump into us, would they think of Humans as life?
what if they exist as a form of energy? what if they exist as a form of radiation imperceptible to our monkey minds.

again, more questions than answers, and plenty of Sci fi Tropes and material to use here.

but what I truly believe, we know so little about the universe, and our place in it,
were still fighting bitterly over this land belongs to us/them, and still stuck arguing about imaginary lines on the Earth.
were still to primitive and savage to be contacted by advanced civilizations, or we have been, and it was decided that only after we PROVE we can use technology responsibly, will we be contacted.

good example, the Internet, sure people use it for Dumb things, but if people actually used it for its intended purpose and for bigger goals,
maybe we would have taken our first steps into proving we are not a dumb savage monkeys swinging from trees and poking holes in termite mounds with sticks.

maybe then the dream of Fusion power and star-ship travel would be possible, and would be gifted to us by these advanced civilizations,
