The observable universe is approximately 93 billion light-years in diameter. Think about it.

There are approximately 200 billion trillion stars in the universe.

Yup. And near as physicists can tell (high degree of certainty) space is flat, i.e. perfectly parallel lines will always remain perfectly parallel to each other no matter how far you extend them. So it can as reasonably be stated that the universe, not just the observable part, could be more than 200 billion light-years across, and possibly even infinite. The latter would of course make any estimate for the number of stars a thoroughly meaningless endeavor.
 
Yes there has to be other life in the universe, statistically speaking. No, I don't think they visit us (The universe is huge)

So no sign of any life in 93 billion light years in any direction
 
Let’s turn that around: are people really arrogant enough to believe that we might be the only sentient beings in something as infinitely big as the universe?

The probability is low and if there is something out there, they will find us, because it is impossible for us to travel such distances
 
Aliens as in some or the other life form flying around solar systems and between galaxies? Hell no.

Aliens as in small microbes or something growing somewhere on some planet? Yes.

Governments using 'aliens' to distract attention from their failures? Hell yes.
 
Aliens as in sentient beings. For sure. If there are organisms, why not beings?

Well there have always been separate conspiracy theories that both say "The gubmint is hiding aliens" and "The gubmint is faking aliens"


And ones that say Elvis is still alive too.

To me, this is the most fascinating question. If it is infinite then it is also still growing and is therefore not infinite. And at the same time, whether it is infinite or not, what is beyond it?

An alien life-form, in a state to visit the Earth, does not necessarily have to appear in a familiar form recognisable to us

We should heed the words of Arthur C Clarke who stated that an alien civilisation might form in a way we have yet to recognise

We view the Universe with 21st century norms and ideas. These can be missing the mark entirely
 
I do. I also believe that they keep their contact with us limited due to mistrust and fear. Humans are an Enigma; simultaneously predictable and unpredictable. Getting them to work together is like stacking marbles into a corner.
 
Aliens almost certainly exist. We are unlikely to make contact with intelligent life in our lifetimes though due to the distances involved.

There is a chance they may find microbial life within the solar system in our lifetime but I won't put my money on it. It would probably require deep exploration, digging etc on the moons of Saturn, Venus or Mars and our current technology cannot yet do that.

We have microorganisms that survive conditions on earth which are as extreme as moons of Saturn, Mars and Venus so I think it's more likely than not that there may be microbes somewhere in the solar system or may have been.
