Since when do the anc do anything logical?

Example with world bodies - we STILL, years later, haven't complied with turning off analogue terrestrial TV transmissions.

But not going to debate further. Point is, Koeberg has been mismanaged, and the threat is real, AND getting anything public that's complex built here properly is a pipe dream.

Yeah I actually personally know some of the engineers who work there, you are uninformed and have no idea what you are talking about.
The ANC has not intention to break the nuclear treaty.
Sanctions would be but one component.
The US and other nuclear countries support them on this, doesn't take lightly anyone who doesn't follow the rules on nuclear.

And the definition of, or, an explanation of what "cost-effective" means?

And measured how and over what time period? BTW the same issue arises when you look at the total life cycle cost per MWh for coal or any other current energy source.

Yup so cost effective the people on the ground pay more, so cost effective it's creating energy poverty. You'll get people saying that Germany has a gas problem, true they do, but they wouldn't have this issue if they didn't want to go renewables.
It's like can't get the cause and correlation here, the renewables don't generate enough so they use gas to supplement it. They now don't have enough gas

The whole thing is still too new, just a few years of this new actual go green pressure so it's going to take ages to find a new balance. And all sides will continue to milk the opportunity.

So they can run at their capacity plate or lower to meet the needs.
So if you've got enough nuclear to cover your peak demand with 4GW leeway what would the other renewables?

No idea, just suggesting.. am a nuclear fanboi, but if no extra capacity is required, then nuclear it is!

Actually followed you for the space launch
Not the best idea
 
Considering the massive failure renewables have been in the 1st world, just stick with coal and nuclear.
 
We really need to move to renewable, but our current situation does not seem to allow it.
Once our coal burning infrastructure is stable and reliable, further spending should go to the development of renewable energy
