I refill 5 litre bottles with water at the supermarket at R1.20 per litre. We need about 30 to 50 litres a week just for drinking.

When on stage 6 or higher loadshedding we don't use tap water for coffee/tea and cooking.

Tap water but passed through a 3-stage filtering system. The tap water in CT stinks. It has a terrible taste and very quickly passes on that taste and smell to any container you use even glass. The containers we store our water are sterilsed and cleaned once a month.

I boil it first with a pot on the stove. Then once its cooled goes into the fridge and then drink it.

You can either filter or boil tap water. I prefer boiling but then put it through a filter jug and fill up the bottles. I dont believe in this store oxidized water. Honestly it makes no difference.

Mineral water would be the only exception, but only specific mineral water, not all is the same.

Been drinking tap water my whole life, drinking water from camel drinking holes in the Sahara and rivers in Africa and Nepal.
