Do you eat polony?

Nope. In fact I'm suspicious of any type of processed meat (mince etc). I'll rather go for vegetarian option then.

Mince shouldn't be processed at all... It's simply a normal cut of meat run through a mincer.
Google "mechanically separated meat" or chicken for that matter... Eish!
Elimentals mentioned the cleaning process... Usually the meat is treated with an ammonia to kill off bacteria remaining from the skin and what not... Hmmmmm, delicious!

crikey, i don't know how many times i've heard scare stories about polony.
i've sent a mail off to escort asking them about their recipe and method.
let's see if they've got anything useful to add.

Can tell you never smelled it, cause man that **** pongs!!!

I'll cook my own affal, sheep brains and bull testicles, hmmm and the eyes, man I love the juicy eyes but you can keep your chemically "cooked" polony than you very much.

I dont, not because of what its made of, but when I was a kid, my mother entered a comp to guess the weight of a HUUUGE roll of polony. She won it- polony for breakfast, lunch and supper, prepared every concievable way- never again

Ooh, polony for breakfast just reminded me of fried polony. That's something I like...

Come on - who cares what's in it? Stick sliced brown bread in oven till warm, put thick slices of polony in between two slices with melted butter.

Oh so good.

At university they sell Amagwinya with Polony and Cheese. YUMMMMMMM!!!!

Ah soz should have been clearer. I include minced/mechanically recovered etc in my definition of "processed".

I'm fussy like that.:o

HAHAHAHAHAHA Jamie Experiment FAILED!!!!!

To be honest I'll eat the ones he made as well, cause it did not go through the crap I have an issue with.

Hehehe... The "delicious" part was me not being serious. I won't touch Polony either.

I have one of those old fashioned crank-handle mincers... Love it. Works fantastically with a rump or sirloin... also good for grinding ice for cocktails in summer. :D

That would work for me too - controlling what goes into the mince. Without that its just to easy to hide sketchy stuff in it.
