Haha....Good luck to me then.

Last time I touched a programming language it was Turbo Pascal, so I hope you all like using the command line for your file sharing.

(I'm kidding of course, I suck too much at even pascal to make anything other than a broken calculator)
 
No luck yet with new dc hub?
Its sad i have missed the great downloading u guys had!
 
What is going on?

I've been trying to connect for ages... Is the dc hub not working or something?
 
Well I did put a fairly gigantic bold message on the first post of this thread announcing the hub's death....which would explain your trouble connecting.

It was fun while it lasted but don't expect it to return unless someone comes up with another grand (unshapeable) plan for collective iBurst "utilization".
 
I cant recall where i posted under my previosu nick KaizerSoze about Dc hubs, but hells bells people, DC is great, and if there are local hubs, thats even better. I am a netadmin and admin on 2 very big hubs, so get yer arses over there. Its Twisted Gate and Grand central. Pop in after 18:00 and i'll hook you up. PLEASE SUPPORT LOCAL HUBS!!

No ETA at all I'm afraid. If anyone comes across a new method to use the hub on iburst without being throttled to other iburst users (that is - like it was before) then we can try arrange something but for now there's just no point putting up a service that won't even run at 64k due to the heavy shaping.

interesting.. i only learned of the wug networks a couple of days ago. but if everything goes as planned, i should be active by the end of the month.

quick question if you please sir. how many users are currently on the jhb network?
 
well i tested using dc with tor but it doesn't work as planned, going through a proxy prevents normal speeds when capped:(
