Do you get a 13th Cheque/bonus?

Yes. Got my bonus this month, will receive my third long service bonus in two years (20 years service).

Going to try hard not to spend all of my bonus this year.
 
What is this bonus and 13th you talk of??

No bonuses in the last 3 years.
No 13th either - company stopped paying 13th's 3 years back creating a pretty miserable workforce but hey, they saved a bit.

Add my voice to the earlier post - I don't understand the logic of a contractual 13th cheque - its just part of your cost to company anyways so as long as your cost to company is market related, how it flows to you isn't an issue.
 
Nope. Not complaining though...got a good thing going (raises > bonuses). The 12+ hr work days are kinda getting on my nerves though.

Its not a bonus if its structured into your package.
 
its optional. you flex your package how you want. i pay the tax monthly. i decided to just take R10k for the december period.
