Yes. Easiest way to pay when buying stuff from overseas
 
I used it a lot on eBay, but with the near-collapse of the South African Post Office I cannot buy from eBay any more, the stuff just does nor arrive, so my usage has declined significantly.

I sometimes use it to pay for online services.

Since I could not use my YubiKeys I did not actually try and enable the "phantom" authenticator apps as more secure method on the different PayPal accounts.

Testing one account I can clearly see, PayPal will require a mobile number. Similar to za banks.
This is broken.
 
Yes but this import licence requirement has put a damper on my usage.

Could be. Paypal once deposited a $5 into my personal account, which I haven't used in some time. But I remember getting an email confirming they deposited the $5 and some message about them 'missing me'.
 
I have used mine, even for selling, the credit was just sitting there so I re-used it buying on eBay. Never the hell will I be with FNB.

Hate FNB. Don't use them myself.
