Thanks for telling us why they refused.

Fúcking riveting stuff.
For every person like you that has a nice job there is a person like me fixing your toilet, cleaning your gutters, fixing your window frames or painting your home. Just remember that. What is nice is when I get injured on your property then I get the fancy hospital with actual doctors. Sometimes your wife or husband will be nice enough to buy us a meal. Don't frown on us just because get to do the dirty work.

@catdog Are you saying they refused you entry at the door the second time due to appearance?

Because you still haven't answered the part in question, even though you type out walls of text...

friends with benefits is a lot less scary and has a lot better outcome if they want to leave the relationship. I don't care if people say sleeping around is bad but look at you. You have to sleep with one eye open because you don't know if she is going to kill you in some way. That is no way to live. Make sure everything goes to your daughter.

When my phone rings and she tells me she wants me to sleep over i know what she wants and I know what I want. no paper work no stress about finding glass in my food.
Dude, friends with benefits is like the opposite of marriage.

FWB = None of the relationship issues, and all of the s@x.
Marriage = All of the rlationship issues, and none of the s@x.

Didn't know this was an interrogation. Yea I cleaned up dressed respectably and got refused. I was told to use the ATM. I told them it is a lot of money I don't like to use the ATM. they walked away. Security was in my face after that. I walked away deposits the money back in my own account and did a eft. As a person of color i never felt so dehumanized. **** them and their ****ing bank.

Thank you, @catdog!

Agreed!

Hopefully you got to file a complaint, and hopefully they (and/or their security team) get in trouble.
I did complain yes, I got the standard sorry letter and asked me to identify the branch. I did and I will never go back to fnb again. think i still got the email

Also don't use standard bank as executer of your will. They are the worst. I did work for a guy on his plot and his father passed away. He didn't need the money but told me they love to take their time. They had to hand in all their details several times and only after 3 months did Standard bank reach out to them asking for all the documentation again. They wanted new dated stamps and everything. He said he almost gave up I don't know if Standard Bank got back to him. I only worked there for a couple of weeks. Nice man he paid well and was really respectable. Also got us a meal on Fridays was very nice of him.

My wife's one friend is an attorney and our wedding present from the attorney friend was her doing our will and testaments for us. Quite scary that the ink on my marriage certificate wasn't even dry yet, and I already bequeathed every last possession of mine to my brand new wife. Slept with one eye open for a couple of months...updated the wills when our daughter was born.
The moment you were married this is basically the case in South Africa even without a will.

So you didn't trust your wife but you decided to marry her? Wow.

Yes i do indeed.

I was also appointed as Executor of my late father-in-law's estate when he passed away last year. Should be finalised within the next month or two.

The worst is trying to be neutral when the beneficiaries are fighting.

that is low class seriously i hate it when people fight about stuff.

I have had the same Will since I was 8 years old.

I agree. I had to try and keep the peace but it is difficult.

The estate could have been finalised already but there was a property that had to be sold first.

Why sell property? Do these people not know the value of a place to sleep? Renting is expensive. I rather share a home then having to rent one. Sorry I just don't understand people at all. If I was given a home and was told i only have to keep the lights on I would jump at it and fight to keep it. I fail to understand their reasoning.

Avoid nominating Standard Bank as the executors of your will.. they are utterly useless. Been fighting with them over the last few months over my late mother's estate.

The 4 beneficiaries all have their own houses. My wife is one of the beneficiaries.

My father-in-law was renting the property out and the occupants caused so much damage to the house that will cost an arm and a leg to fix the place.

I asked my one son to do an estimate of the costs to fix up the place and he said it was going to cost a lot. (He is a Quantity Surveyor)

So we had to find a buyer and sell the property for less than 50% of it's municipal value. So now the beneficiaries will each get their share. It would have cost too much to register the property on the name of 4 beneficiaries.

FNB and Standard Bank is to be avoided. They are that toothless thing on the corner of the street that will give you more then a good time that will haunt you for life.

Honestly and I do respect your choices but you should have evicted the people living there and slowly fix up the place. Right now property is hard to get and those who have it and fix it up can get a lot more for it. But I understand the fighting and stuff. Must have sucked making that choice.

I do hope your wife don't tie this mess to her late father's memory. Despite everything we are all human.
