Got a Smart TV however the one is fine the other is so slow it is useless.
Switch the TV on and when you press the Smart button it states you must wait. (takes forever)
Rather connected a Xiomi Mi box thus works a lot faster.

Yes, but it's a glorified PC monitor. Never use any of the functions including the 3D. Maybe once every 3 months I will cast Youtube from my phone if I'm to lazy to turn on the PC.

I think that LG and Samsung should bring out more TV's, without the tuner functionality/hardware. No tuner, no license. Who uses the tuner on their TV nowadays? I got my TV with my dad's license as well.

Completely agree with you.
Never used it for SABC or DSTV. Used mostly for gaming, youtube and sometimes netflix.

I have a Sony Bravia 40" LED TV model KDL40EX720, but so old it's dumb. Has a built-in DVB-T1 decoder which is of course useless. I use a MiBox for all viewing needs, plus a demo DVB-T2 decoder.
