I dont think ive ever removed a drive safely, thats including my portable laptop hdd.
So far ive had no issues, unless you pull it out while still writing to it, a drive scan is needed after that to clean up the issues.

Rubbish, the back ports can be very fun and unexplored. It may get messy at times but its an adventure

You should always remove your flash drive before you are done reading from it. Not doing so leads to unwanted data duplication

think u misinterpreted me there.
Obviously i wouldnt just pull it out while writing to it, but sometimes my crappy laptop has like a delayed write, so as far as i can see the copying is finished, but when i pull out the drive, the file is corrupt.
you would get problems, yes. next time, rather use a Hard Drive.

i do use a hard drive, its a 2.5" harddrive in an external casing, IE laptop hdd...
I cannot safely remove even if i wanted to, OS wont allow me at all.
been doing it for years and the drive is working hundreds

actually according to windows you don't have to "safely remove" your harddrive as long as its not writing something.
Because it does not write cache. Thats also why a External drive is that much slower.

neway we just going in circles here, fact is, ive done it for years and always wondered why ppl said safely remove. Ive never needed to, and have never experienced true problems thereof.
This hdd will die sooner than removing unsafely could screw it up.
Ive dropped swung it off the table before, onto the ground while it was still connected, lol, seems fine. Spilt a bit of water on it, still fine.
They fairly cheap, so i only really except one to last about 2 years... then ill buy an upgrade

Yes! I just quickly jerk it out without consideration for my safety, Never had a problem never had a accident.
