Hells yes. Gaming. Everything. Don't own a laptop. Lanning can be a pain but worth it. Bang for buck on a gaming desktop is unbeatable.
 
Yes desktop AMD build. FX6300 with R9 270 for gaming. Laptop for work.
 
Yes, I do number crunching on big data sets, with 4 screens... I use an HP Workstation, with Xeon processor, 128GB RAM, multiple display cards. Not going to get that on any laptop soon...
 
Yes, for analysis purposes with a second large screen to easily move between spreadsheets and other documents
 
Desktops Rule!!! I use my desktop for work.... 6x screens and running virtual test environments..... Laptop just cannot do what I need. I have a Laptop at home for basic tings only. I'd never get rid of my Desktop!!!
 
Desktop at work. Laptop at home. I like the portability for home and the fixture for work.
 
I use my desktop for running my business (accounting, word processing, Excel), Email, internet, Skype, programming.
Desktops have the most flexibility in terms of upgrading and longevity in terms of replacing failed components.
 
Always have and always will, easy to use and maintain as well as upgrade. Does everything better other than portability, but if you don't even need it then it can't even be considered a con.
