Maybe not something native to seafood itself then but rather a chemical more prevalent in prawns...or maybe even that it's cooked with?

What kind of allergy response? The I'm going to die kind of just the it comes out the other side liquid variety?

It's very interesting how people can both grow out of allergies and also into them.

My Sister-In-Law, was so allergic to prawns, that if she walked past your home and you where cooking prawns, and you could smell the prawns - she reacted badly to it.

Yeah, it tends to get worse with age as well. Started out as something resembling bad hay fever if I ate a whole plate of prawns, and then got progressivly worse.

Now I struggle to breathe and break out in hives if there is cross contamination of my food at a restaurant. I tend to stay away from seafood places now. One ocean basket must have fried my fish in the same pan as prawns and I had a bit of an episode.

Yeah the shells will often be used to make stock for sauces and other stuff so very likely it would cross contaminate like that.

Would be interesting to see if the meat itself cooked in isolation affects you or just the shell itself.

Difficulty breathing, going red in the face, swelling mouth, and that type of thing. Adult onset shellfish allergy is quite common apparently, and almost never goes away and tends to get worse.

Yeah I have someone on my team who is also very allergic and pretty much only trusts my cooking because when I say it's not in there then you know it's not in there.
 
Has anyone taken Fexo 180 I was given it by the pharmacy I had bad allergies I couldn't stop sneezing for days my eyes itchy my nose and mouth were red and I tried Texa but im not sure it was strong enough

I have used it, cannot say it worked better than my go to Allergex, but I was travelling and my hayfever was acting up, and my colleague had Fexo 180 and it worked.

Maybe try Salex saline to flush out all of the allergy causing dirt.

I’ve been using that for a couple of months.
60 salt sachets cost R240.

I asked my ENT for an alternative and he says one liter distilled water, one teaspoon table salt and half a teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda will do the trick. So that will fill my bottle 5 times.
 
No Allergies, but there is havoc in my sinus's if I am in very dusty places and they get dusted.

Yes I don't use it myself because it so expensive and I will remember to do it once a week 😂

You are maybe allergic to dust mite? I am not able to go into dusty places or when the vacuum is on
