I prefer not having something like the previous disqus system.
That was just a nasty experience.
I'm a forum member. I know most nicknames of the regular guys here.
I would prefer that the Articles could have proper links to the forum thread discussing it as well.
When I'm a bit high, like now, my motor skills are borked. So I have to double check what I do. Quite funny at times.

TL,DR
No comments below articles/main news site.
Clearer distinction of article forum threads.
The sponsors don't like that. Monochoice etc. know they're not well liked in the forums.

Every news article comes with a link to the relevant forum thread.

There is a group of people who comment which our journalist respect and take very seriously, but that is more in the forum than the article comments.
Not the ones that seem to correct articles though. Multiple times now I've commented that the PS5 v. XB Series X articles have incorrect info. Nothing was changed, and then even newer articles were posted still with the wrong info.

A definite NO. My reasons are mainly around the unfair moderation of comments.

1. MyBB can't stand criticism on their articles. Sometimes their sources of info are biased and incomplete. When you give an opinion which is contrarary to the authors intent, they delete your comment. Sure some commentors are rude, but if you can back up your comment with facts, why get salty and delete constructive argument?
2. MyBB Disqus moderators are not impartial and fair. They clearly favor right wing comments and allow racist remarks

This all has a bad reflection on MyBB.

Comments below articles in other websites are valuable, but not MyBB.

The articles themselves are subjective and one sided without any pretense at impartiality or any attempt to get input from the other side.

In general only those comments that echo the article are allowed. Anything else is generally removed or only posted many hours later, after the debate has long passed

Geepers i thought it was only me that thought this of MyBB. Glad someone else feels the same.

I've switched to BusinessTech because their journalism is better and comments section more constructive.

Hate to burst your bubble but they're basically the same people writing for both.

My point exactly, and why do the moderators get off on these racist comments by allowing them?
the moderators are out to get you on that website and this website
welcome to my world where you must tip toe around trying to avoid those ones

Damn. Thanks for the heads up!
It shouldn't make a difference if you prefer those articles.

Personally, I'd love to see a return of well thought out Letters to the Editor, and the ensuing discourse, instead of what are largely inane comments that everyone has to wade their way through.
