Wait. I retract my post because I just saw who the OP was.
Dude, you're the guy that doesn't know what he wants to do in life and works behind the counter at the vet shop (or something like that). So you and your gf are like 21 or 22 years old, right?
So one, you guys are young and the chance that you just found true love is very unlikely. If she has any ambition she is gonna be moving around because of her career.
And two, at some stage she is gonna get tired of you not having any ambition. And even if she doesn't, please don't kill her career "in the name of love". I know this girl developer (studied with her) who lives in my hometown and she has no real career because she got married when she was 24 years old and the hubby is the "man of the house" and his career in welding stuff at a workshop is way more important than hers. If they moved to the city she could double her salary and out-earn him. But no, the ego is too strong in that guy. So don't be like him. He is a douchenozzle.
If you had like ambition and the will to go do something with your life then there was hope. But you don't. So there isn't. Not unless you change(d). Same thing I said to you in that other thread. Have a great night.
...and pray to whomever it is you pray to that she doesn't read this thread/post.
I haven't even been 20 for half a year yet. I'm going to study next year before I'm 21. I'm also trying to get into property market with my inheritance. I'm not that bad...
You are 20. She is 19. So young. So much to learn.
/facepalm
Just don't get married for another 6 years mmmmm'kay? I really mean that.
Really? That's the type of **** you say to 12 year olds, my parents had my sister when they were 21 and already married.
They're still married now.

There is your answer right there. Knock her up and she will stay with you forever.
But also... ambition and drive are not necessarily equal to earning a lot of money. It's more about goals, willingness to kill yourself to make something happen. If you aren't matched in that, you will struggle to make it work in the long term. My wife and I value certain things above having a large amount of money, but that isn't to say that either of us lacks ambition. Even if she out-earns you, it actually doesn't matter that much, so long as you share the same goals.
I made this thread because I'm afraid of losing her, not because I'm insecure. Even though I might be, it's irrelevant.
.
You're seeing this girl way too much. Every day is too much. She's going to get bored of you really quickly if you see her every day.
So I been seeing this girl lately. We clicked really fast and I really like her and she really likes me. I've seen her everyday now and she seems pretty damn infatuated with me. To be honest I'm not usually the type for serious relationships but this girl kind of just blew my mind.
I've seen her everyday after work and working 236.5 hours this month means that I've been losing a lot of sleep it's really ****ing me up mentally, this morning she and I were still at Canal Walk 2 am, I'm awake now and have been since 6:30.
I don't mind at all, she's worth it.
But I'm afraid of one thing. She's a year younger than me and vastly more successful that me or my parents. She's studying programming and she even got a bursary. She has a Citroen C1 (new) and she's working as a manager at a cake shop (yes we make jokes about her selling koek for a living![]()
)
But yeah, she got some offer for next year by a company and she'll make more than 3x what I earn and that's just a starting salary for 6 months.
I'm afraid that, once she's successful she'll want to move in together, buy stuff together etc. Which I would love to do (eventually), but I can't afford to on this size salary. Then if she realizes that I'm a piece of **** making no money and have no future she will dump me for someone more reliable.
I hate to think about money and happiness in the same sence when it comes to relationships, but it's required for a comfortable life at least.
There's a good chance she uses the forum and might even read this so doing this is so risky. I'll probably delete this thread later today.
