What I said, it makes sense if you understand the kind of job they do. Sometimes the tills are short of money when they reconcile, how would it look if they are seen on the cameras pocketing some cash?

I just tip R10 these days as they clean both windscreens and fill tyres.

Really. I do it all the time at my local garage.

That said, when I tried to do the same at the garage at Table Bay mall, it seemed you needed a certain banks credit card scanner. Fortunately I had R10 in change to give the dude.

Although it wasn't the R20 I said he could add on.

Giving money to someone with a protected, almost guaranteed job? You do know the unemployment rate in SA? I give to genuinely poor people. Not that I have to justify to you.

I actually made no such argument, I just said I do tip them and gave my reasons, you are the one came out of nowhere and made an argument about it.
