Documentaries

Oh and I need help remembering the name of a doccie I saw once.... want to try and get a copy of it.

The Documentary is about this entire town that plays a role play game, they have these massive DnD wars where they all dress up as elves and stuff and hit each other with rubber swords.

It was so epic... must see it again.

The Dungeon Masters? Gamers: The Movie?

I watched these this weekend - All were phenomenal, I highly recommend them.

BBC's "Life"
Extremely awesome in HD - in one shot, there was a fly inside a venus fly trap - you could see EVERYTHING, it was as if the camera was 2cm's away from the fly

FRAG
This is a Docu about the Professional Gaming Industry, fatal1ty, how these guys cope, live and even how the CPL main guy doesn't pay them if they win

The 11th Hour
Very interesting - shows how late we have come to the party (history of earth) and how fast we are destroying it, whether things are sustainable and how in today's time we are actually living on "Borrowed energy"

Thanks folks, for all your contributions.

Recently watched two Afghan war Documentaries.

Armadillo
Restrepo

Graphic to say the least

Got Restrepo, I've heard it's quite good, will watch soon.

*edit*

Reading about Armadillo - Looks great.

Both are as intense as it gets short of the cameraman getting shot lol. Like Ross Kemp In Afghanistan.

You even get a nice treat at the start of Armadillo. You might need to DL subtitles for Armadillo. I'll supply a link if you need it

Brothers At War is another good war doc set in Iraq.

Obtaining a version with Eng subs, thanks.

Yeah, the Ross Kemp series on the war was fantastic I thought. From a British soapie to dodging bullets, who would have thought? :p
