Documentaries

Been recording Apocalypse WW1 on DSTV and watch the first two episodes last night.

Prior to watching my only knowledge of WW1 was some guy in a fancy hat got assassinated, Christmas Day Truce and Germany got whipped. Wanna dl cause I don't want to wait a whole week for an episode.

Fed Up (2014)

An examination of America's obesity epidemic and the food industry's role in aggravating it.

There have been similar documentaries before, but very eye opening none the less. When you see what the public schools feed the kids for lunch it's enough to make you angry. And what the junk food industries do to protect their business. Some even got their pizza classified as a "vegetable" through a technicality :erm:

And its not just relevant to the USA. South Africa is also mentioned in the countries with alarm bells going off.

Also a lot of the principals discussed are very relevant to the whole current "Tim Noakes" idea of nutrition.

A good watch.

Finished and I'm feeling cleverest. They also showed how the victors decided to draw borders in the Middle East and create countries like Iraq and the Palestine issue.
