Idris Elba: Our Knife Crime Crisis review – vital viewing from Hackney’s A-list crusader

Elba is at his magnetic best in this fantastic documentary: challenging racist myths, comforting victims’ families and packing in more nuance than you’d think possible. He’s like a supernatural force.

An Update on Our Family

An Update on Our Family explores the world of family vlogging, a social media phenomenon in which parents post a steady stream of lifestyle videos for loyal subscribers. Through the lens of the massively popular Stauffer family — and the sudden online disappearance of their adopted son — the docuseries raises questions about what motivates parents to expose their home lives to the world, provoking a salient conversation about privacy on the internet and the unregulated industry of monetizing one’s family

For the AC/DC fans.

Australia's vibrant rock history was forged in the 1960s when the Alberts family introduced a rebellious sound that reshaped its musical identity. Visionary Ted Albert spearheaded a movement to create an "Australian sound," nurturing talents like the Easybeats, AC/DC, and John Paul Young. Migrant influences, suburban grit, and pub culture collided to form a raw, electrifying style that captured global attention. Alberts became a musical dynasty, blending hard rock anthems with pop hits like "Friday on My Mind" and "Love Is in the Air." This tale of ambition, innovation, and cultural pride immortalized Australia's place in rock history.00:00:00 - Part One : Blood00:57:09 - Part Two : ThunderOriginal Title: Blood and Thunder: The Sound of AlbertsDirected by Paul ClarkeStars: David Field, Angus Young, Brian Johnson

Reminds me of these lot:

Have acquired. Will watch tonight.

Did you watch it? I found it thoroughly entertaining. And I never thought I'd say that about a documentary about Victorian era explorers. James May has a real knack for making the mundane seem interesting. Can't wait for episode two and beyond.

Not bad, but not terrible either, will see what the next one is like.
