Documentaries

Every one should see this. Aspiring Gangsters should take notes.

Just finished this. What an eye opener...

Just watched it now too and the tone was rather depressing most of the time but as you said, eye opening.

Puts a lot of things into perspective though for people from both sides (probably more for the US employees) but paints an even bleaker future for many at the end regardless of origin.

Thanks for mentioning it it otherwise I'd probably not have known about it.

For me it was seeing the cultures clash and resort to spying and bad mouthing each other at almost every turn even though they were supposedly all part of the same one company. That and that at the end, regardless of who was from where that most of the employees will eventually be replaced by automation.

but its been known for a while that automation is going to take our jobs in the next 5-10 years, culture clash and chinese company screwing employee over also another no-brainer.

Perhaps a no brainer for the culture clash to you but to me it opened my eyes because I have no experience interacting with chinese people.

Sure automation was always going to become an issue but when you hear that they stated their intentions of coming to America was to work with Americans to show that America and China can work together only to kick them out later on meant that their only intention was to actually just get a foothold and to get "Made in USA" kinda status.
