Documentaries

I watched the latest Michael Moore doccie, its about capitalism and the economic melt down. Was really good, but I like his stuff.

On TV at the moment is something called Britain From Above, has to be the best documentary ever made.

The Worlds most dangerous drug- Meth. Amazing! If you ever thought of trying meth this will stop those thoughts forever!

Capitialism: A Love Story - Michael Moore
Religulous - Bill Maher
Faith The Virus - Richard Dawkins

Banged Up Abroad
Law & Disorder in Johannesburg (Louis Theroux)

Zeitgeist and Zeitgeist Addendum. Don't take both movies too seriously, though, but they at least offer food for thought. I particularly enjoyed the first movie's deconstruction of Christianity and the second movie's depiction of how the money system works. I found myself wanting to believe them due to my own views on religion, money and control but I'm not positive they were indeed 100% truthful. Still, it made for interesting viewing and gave me a lot to think about.

I also enjoyed What the Bleep Do We Know, even if it was let down by pseudo-science and bad acting.

my favourite list:

[*]The Universe" series (History Channel)
[*]BBC - The Atom
[*]Hawking's Universe
[*]Ancient Astronauts
[*]Earth Investigated

Big pinch of salt for those, but I have seen them thanks. :)

The Century of the self - BBC

It's almost unbelievable how so many aspects of modern consumer lifestyle were created and implemented by one man (Edward Bernays).

Sounds interesting thanks.

Oh, The Devil's Bible is pretty interesting damn too. Especially given your interest in philosophical stuff.

Consider my interest piqued.

PBS Nova's The Elegant Universe
