Hi guys in NZ, we have sky Multiroom where you pay a low monthly fee ($25, R160) to rent a second decoder, which offers the same packages as you're subscribed to on your main decoder and it's connected up directly to a splitter connected to the dish. Basically it's a setup, where one can take the second decoder right to the other end of the country and with just a change of the dish frequencies it will work perfectly. Does South Africa have such a setup? Was just thinking if they did people would loan the second decoder to the maid, or pass it on to the less fortunate? Was doing a search, and the only thing I could find was xtraview whatever that is. How does extraview work, does it work the same as multiroom?

Thanks

No, there is no such setup in SA. Xtraview requires a cable linking both decoders so you can put the 1 decoder in a different room in the house.

If you want to replicate what you have in NZ, for the low price of R1020 a month, you can have 2 decoders on the Premium DSTV package and then loan one out to your friend.
