I would definitely say that's way above normal. I'd consider it a malfunction and get it replaced.

im not sure alan

you will get backlight bleed if you do not run your native resolution on an lcd monitor

tell me if you watch a movie or playing a game at the correct resolution of your monitor do you notice the same thing?

it does not look to good but then alot of lcd's have problems whenre the native resolution is not run and some of the screen is not covered by images

for instance when i boot up with my samsung and the screen goes black i can see backlight bleed
yet when im in windows there is nothing at all and even black images have no bleeding

I ran the monitor in native resolution. The backlight bleed was everywhere games( at native resolution),, screen saver you name it.

what is backlight bleed. is it the bright to dark texture of the colours?

Its the blue haze you can see in the pic.

So any suggestions what I can do if they refuse to refund me? I got a few ideas.

Okay who said no

TIAL or Suferwell I bet

It's a manufacturing defect, not a malfunction.

What is with ASUS? They trying to say it's normal or what?!

The supplier says when they tested it they found nothing wrong. The Take2 people keep ignoring this question even though I've repeatedly asked them.

Now I'm going straight to Asus and I'll ask the same question.

Nobody would buy a car that would suddenly just lose power inexplicably on long journeys but otherwise run fine around the neighborhood
