Does Top TV show F1

Good Day

Would like to know if top tv shows formula one. I have been searching the forum and noone seems to have asked this specific question. The wait on the telephone to them has been long.

currently no. They do show however German Touring Car and Superleague Formula live currently, From what they said however the F1 will be one of the first 'big' sporting things they will show, as Setanta does broadcast it, just now to their 'africa' channel at the moment....
 
They could attract a lot of conumers for F1, was it not preety popular when on SABC 3 all those years back?

I do not remember a weekend when I was doing something else when F1 was still on SABC 3. Could not justify the cost when it became a DSTV only thing. I would sign up to TopTV today if they had F1.

So it is your TV-lic + 500 for DSTV, I went for broadband instead. A much wider variety for your money.

Thanks "albert123" for that information. It does make TopTV remain tempting.

The simple fact is that DSTV shows EVERY major sporting event live from around the world. There is no possible way TopTV can compete with this in the near future. Give them time and maybe they will become a viable alternative, but for now DSTV is by FAR the better option, sporting-wise

i agree that sport-wise there is no comparison at the moment, however bear in mind TopTV never once said they are aiming to take die-hard sport fans away from dstv, any dstv premium customer they win over would be a pure bonus.

Their target market is people who previously only really had access to sabc & etv. for them older series of CSI is still 'new' and being able to now watch the soccer or a movie without one of their kids holding up the bunny aerials by the window, is a massive improvement.
