Everytime I drive past Vodaworld along the M1 my MTN cell phone signal gets scratchy and then inveriably disconnects.
Do you think this is just typical bad MTN signal or are Vodacom playing games with a signal jammer outside their head office?

The frequency Vodacom uses over loops MTN frequency when near they main offices. Therefore the MTN frequency get destoryed causing signals not to reach MTN.....

don't know what your smoking but it sound lekker.

I'm a sucker for conspiracy theories..I personally think roswell is quite factually recorded by bob the hillbilly with two and a half teeth

Personally I think that Vodacom are a bunch of retards. MTN actually offer the best service, the best deals, etc. Vodacom was here first and that's the only reason they're succeeding, and maybe because Vodafone and Telskum own both pieces of the pie. Cell C can't even be mentioned. They are even more pathetic.

Attended an ISPA meeting in the MTN head office a while ago. ZERO Vodacom signal.

Think they use the same equipment. ;)

It would be funny if we were getting charged per sec, but we have to redial and get our madatory 60 sec charge

So you're saying Vodacom is interfering with MTN's signal so MTN can make more money?

Of course not but that would be the end result for us poor clients if you had to interfere with their network, would'nt it.

Are you answering the question that started this thread..... with a question?

 Come on Playoff, even you should realise it's a bit of a silly question. Thus the flippant responses you've seen so far from everyone.

But just to make it formal:
Vodacom categorically denies that it interferes with the signals of any other network operator.

Most likely that. The part where you had to add "typical" is a giveaway really.

Also, doesn't Vodacom/MTN get alot of money for cross-provider calls anyhow? You'd think they would make sure MTN people can reach the Vodacom network and vice versa for all these "interconnection" fees ?
