I've been trying to get through to a human being at VodacomDirect over the last three weeks but without any success. I'm wondering if there's any human life forms at the other end of the line, or at least any that care to sell contracts. VodacomDirect is as elusive as the new iPhone ...

MTNdirect was super with their service! I really recommend them for new MTN contracts cause you save some money on sim and connection

Something is very wrong at VodacomDirect.

It takes forever to get through to an operator. After many many calls I got through yesterday (after waiting for what felt like eternity). I tried to get info on a new contract but the operator then told me she can only help me if a new deal is created. I then said okay fine do so as long as it can be cancelled later in the process just to get the prices. The operator then told me that the person working with the computer has gone home and she couldn't help me further. She then promised to phone me back today at 12:00. Needless to say I did not get this promised call, and I sure as hell don't want to start the whole struggle to get through to someone all over again.

Yes, I did fill in a "please call me" on the website. The next day someone called me whilst I was in a meeting and I couldn't take the call. I was given a 011 number to dial. I've tried this number so many times now and it's also not answered.

Hell NO!

Vodacom, this a very poor operation you're running.

VodacomData

VodacomData, I will PM you the details, thanks for the offer to assist. It was however necessary for me to try this process further before getting inside help to "override" the system. It should not be necessary for you to get involved in these matters, but at some point one has no choice but to take up the offer.

Also never had much luck getting human contact at VodacomDirect but there do seem to be some people doing some work there. Got a phone from them and it arrived not quite 100% so tried to contact them, phone didn't work etc. Tried emailing (usually a lost cause with SA companies). Never got a reply but a few days later a courier showed up with a new phone :)

When someone wants to throw money your way, why make it so damn difficult for him to do so? :D This happens when there's absolutely no need for any more money ... when making money has become an unnecessary burden.

Using VodacomDiret is no different than using VMC... Use at at your own peril...

I would be extremely weary dealing with Vodacom Direct. I had issues with a contract I cancelled (send the phone back within 14 days). 3 years later got a call from a Debt collection agency with regards to R3000+ outstanding on my Vodacom account. Had to jump through hoops to get the matter sorted. Numerous apology letters from Vodacom and Sterlings (the debt collection agency) and I still receive calls from them as recently as a couple of months ago. Vodacom apparently considers the matter settled, but doesn't seem as if their debt collection agency was informed. Last time I spoke to a supervisor that promised he'll remove me from their system... only time will tell.

I was also disappointed in my dealings with VodacomDirect. After completing a request for them to call me last week I had no response. I finally managed to get hold of them today only to be told they do not have the same promotions or products as Vodacom stores.

@ VodacomData I have sent you a pm re the B970 router I am looking for.
