Not quite as futuristic as that ;) Pushing it over using simple bodyweight is probably just as effective

I think he means once they get over/trough the fence do they float across the the hole to take a shortcut.

The fenced off area might be square, so they would break it down just to cut a bit of distance at the corners.

At the township on the N1 near the Carousel, they sometimes break down a part of the wall built on either side of the highway to keep pedestrians off the N1 instead using the overhead pedestrian bridge in the middle or the of a road going under the N1 on the northern side of the wall.

At Diepsloot they break down parts of the concrete palisade fence at the R511 so they can cross the N14 there.
 
And don't get me started on the vagrants insisting to sleep inside fenced off green belt areas here by us, they will break through or dig under the palisade fences or go in under the road bridges. The provided access and hiding spots for the criminal elements as well.

If you can honestly say that you would help the dog because [insert arb reason here] and let the guy burn to death then we can talk about our lives being equal, but until then we're not.

Well if the guy is a criminal that just torched my house I'm gonna save my dog and kick the mofo unconscious so he can burn.

And if it turned out that guy you kicked unconscious was a good samaritan who burst into your burning house to save your dog…

Right and now it has been saved so by taking the easy way out and killing it would have been for nothing !!!
 
Yes but the resources used to save it could theoretically have been put to better use, for the benefit of humans in distress.
 
The costs the companies absorbed could have benefitted some humans in need instead. Even if there were volunteers I'm sure the operation was costly.
