Dog falls down Kimberley's big hole

Awesome news! He/she is about to find themselves in a great home. Well done to everyone involved, and even Kurt Darren...

Are you related to that blood-crazed b!tch, Melissa Bachman?

Don't you think it's a bit unfair to misrepresent what he said like that? You don't have to like what he said, but he didn't say it with bad intentions. The dog had been down there for days with absolutely nothing to eat. It must have been in agony from the hunger, so he merely meant it's better to put it out of its misery instead of letting it suffer. Your accusations of him being bloodthirsty are a bit misguided.

Anyway, I'm glad they got the dog out in the end and also that it has a family to go back to. It must have been horrible for the poor animal. I hope they give him a big, juicy steak tonight. :3

On another note, the Kimberley hole is a pretty long drop. It's a wonder the poor fellow didn't injure himself when he fell in.

A few days without food won't kill it and it would be fine for a few days more. If it was without water then that would have been a different story.

It's the rule of 3's when it comes to survival:

1. 3 minutes without air
2. 3 hours without heat
3. 3 days without water
4. 3 weeks without food

Then you die.

I didn't say I agree with him, I'm just saying the people making him out to be a monster because of his post are being a bit hysterical.

No! It's acts like this that show compassion.

Besides, if you've never had a dog then you probably won't understand - it's a life, doesn't matter how big or small or whatever, it's a life and it's a life worth saving.
Yes it's just a dog, but it doesn't matter if it's just a dog, it shows how people can come together for anything!

Besides that, this shows a unique technical rescue that crews in that side of the world probably don't face often so they can use it as 'training' if they will and while doing that, they can use it as marketing (I am betting ER24 are using it as that) but for once, I don't actually mind.

what in allah's name are you waffling on about? i was referring to nfbs' post about the dog being put out if it's misery. so i commented on putting him out of his misery and mine. :wtf:

Isn't there a perimeter fence around the hole?

There is, but like almost every fenced area in this country there is places that has been pulled down by 'pedestrians' who does not want to walk around it. The area has become a hunting ground for stray dogs who hunts the wild rabbits and dassies.
